World premiere of new ATO line technologies
During the fifth edition of the Formnext fair in Frankfurt am Main (19-22.11.2019), next to the ATO Lab atomizer, new ATO devices were presented that go beyond the existing spectrum of applications, allowing the production of small quantities of metal powders for laboratory and industrial purposes.
Since the launch of ATO Lab, we have not rested on our laurels for a moment. The willingness to develop motivated us even more to research new opportunities and analyze the needs of our customers. Going against the current of technological limitations, high costs and space barriers, we have created devices tailored to the high requirements of industrial and laboratory production of metal powders and atomization of precious metal powders. In addition, we presented the „proof of concept” of the PRO device – the more industrialized version of the ATO.

ATO Lab | ATO Lab Plus – a classic in a new release
The ATO Lab is the world’s first compact, versatile and highly efficient machine, which is very well received by customers who need to quickly and economically produce a small amount of powder in their own research laboratories. Users can not only reduce production costs, but also significantly accelerate the process of research and introduction of new materials in the industry.
Product development was guided by the idea of optimizing the atomization process in the laboratory. This resulted in the successful production of a new, highly advanced version of ATO LAB PLUS with a vacuum pump system allowing for quick preparation of appropriate working conditions while maintaining extremely low oxygen levels, in order to achieve the highest possible chemical purity of materials. The ultrasonic atomization technology applied in the device allows to achieve spherical particle size range from 20 to 100 µm – the whole process is carried out in a shielding gas atmosphere.
Well sealed technological chamber enables the production of reactive metal powders and their alloys, such as titanium or aluminum. ATO Lab Plus also means increased productivity. The new Multi Bolt Rod Feeding System (MBRFS) module significantly improves productivity with its multi rod feed mechanism – an automatic storage system for multiple bolts used in a single atomization process.

ATO Noble – a new dimension of atomization of precious metals powder
Based on our experience, we have developed a groundbreaking ATO Noble solution for powdering precious metals.
ATO Noble is the answer to customers’ needs in the field of economical atomization of expensive and rare metal alloys. The lack of restrictions on the minimum charge and the ease of conversion of the system to another material guarantee high economy and flexibility of the atomization process.
As a result of precisely calibrated ultrasonic system we can process materials such as gold, silver, platinum, etc. without the concern of a significant loss of valuable materials.
Zero Losses Technology
We know that every gram of the material is worth its weight in gold, so when creating Ato Noble we aimed to achieve the best possible powder flow rate. We were able to accomplish this, which had a direct impact on the efficiency of the whole process. As a result, we are able to process 100% of the powder intended for atomization. In combination with a dedicated filtration system, we minimize material losses of the most valuable alloys and facilitate their subsequent recovery for reuse.

Innovation, productivity, comfort – ATO Pro
ATO Pro is a concept of a device built on our experience and expectations of customers who pay attention to the high cost of metal powders available on the market and the inability to produce their own input material for 3D printers in SLM technology.
ATO Pro solves these problems by becoming a necessary device within the process line, giving the ability to control the full process – from the moment of powder creation to the final product, which are the 3D printed parts.
Faster, better, stronger
In order to obtain a high quality material while maintaining continuity of production, ATO Pro has been equipped with a modern system of automatic optimization of the atomization process. Striving to maintain the best possible effect, it independently monitors the proper course of its flow, if necessary correcting the atomization parameters.
At ATO Pro we maximize the productivity of the machine, minimizing the time needed to start the process by using a vacuum pump. Equipped with an innovative wire or rod feeding system with the ability to load up to 10 inserts, we additionally reduce the valuable time needed to set the machine up with new material.
Thinking about the top quality, we have not forgotten about the high comfort of work, while focusing on automation, we equipped ATO Pro with software enabling remote access to the device, which will allow for quick intervention by the operator from anywhere in the world.
The solution will be available for sale within two years.
